A little bit about me

Kristy Johnson

I graduated from Arizona State University  with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Information Technology. I have over five years  of experience working in the graphic design field. I am currently employed as the in-house creative designer at Minuteman Press, where I have created designs for a wide variety of small and large print formats. Additionally, I have completed numerous freelance design projects in a variety of media. I am a highly versatile designer with specialized skills in advertisement, print design, layout and branding.

My design career began at Eastern Arizona College with the receipt of a scholarship including full tuition and an internship at DRG Technologies, a large branding and label production firm. At the completion of the internship I was hired and given responsibility over pre-press and art processing. I began working at Group Imaging in color correction and photo printing. Based on my performance I was quickly promoted to work as the company’s graphic designer. Experiences working at Group Imaging aided in attaining my position at Minuteman Press.

I have talent and experience in working under pressure, prioritizing projects, forming attractive layouts and focusing on the client’s desires for each job. I know how to be fair to the customer and myself, take the lead on design projects and keep the process fun for everyone.

"A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

-Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Examples of my work

“There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.”

- Edward de Bono
